Granite Hills is one of those East County communities that doesn't get as much attention as El Cajon or Santee, but the housing stock is solid and the lots are often large enough to support meaningful additions. Hidden Valley and the Harbison Canyon area are particularly notable for custom homes built 30 to 50 years ago that have seen minimal interior updates.
